The Guillet Brothers Flour Mill by Barbara Cannon

In 1898 the Guillet brothers build a flour mill in the northwest corner of Mancos. The mill ground flour, bran, for livestock and for the community. Horse power demanded a great supply of hay and grain. The valley farmers also marketed potatoes, honey, fruit, dairy products, wool, beef, pork, and lamb.

The Wrightsman House by Mary Mulnix Coppinger

Dr. John B. Wrightsman built this stone residence as a home and hospital in 1903. Following his death, his widow, Fannie, and his daughter, Lista Monahan, opened their home to the public as a hotel and fine dining room.  People came from miles around to dine as well as to attend parties and weddings at the Wrightsman House.
