Thursday, 1/25, 5 p.m. – Businesses in Our Backyard: “Kilgore American Indian Art”

Kelly Kilgore grew up on a trading post on the Navajo reservation, where she fell in love with the Navajo people, their culture, and their art─and learned to speak fluent Navajo. With her background as the co-owner of a Native American art gallery in Scottsdale, she became an appraiser for the legendary Heard Museum in Phoenix as well as for corporate and private collections. Kelly has brought her expertise and love of Native American art to Mancos, where she owns and operates the Kilgore American Indian Art gallery. She will share this expertise and her passion for Indian art IN HER GALLERY at 100 W. Grand.

FREE CLASS: American Government Primer Course

The MPL will livestream a 4-part course in government and civics to help citizens understand their government on a deeper level and to feel confident in engaging with their government. The course will cover the following aspects of government: federalism; the roles, powers, and limitations of the branches of government; the administrative state; procedural due process; fundamental rights; and equal protection.

The classes will be January 3, 10, 17, 31, from 6-8 p.m.
