The saga of Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters, located in Mancos, is one of progression: Building on barista and coffee-roaster training from the late ‘90s, they began roasting coffee beans in a convection oven, then progressed to a commercial roaster and sold wholesale to a number of shops in southwest Colorado. By 2006, they operated a kiosk in Zuma Natural Foods. In 2010 they purchased a building in the heart of Mancos, where they now sell a variety of treats along with their highly regarded coffee. “Fahrenheit” as it is affectionately known, has become a hub for community in the Mancos area. Matt Lauer and Linda James, husband-and-wife business partners, will share their successes, along with their challenges and vision for the future.
